During the day I'm a senior technology leader so that I may pay for air conditioning, beer, and travel. I've spent more than 20 years in both business and technology roles, including more than a decade at large financial institutions. During that time, I've built and led architecture practices, architected enterprise digital transformations, delivered personalized customer facing experiences powered by productized APIs and microservices, created and managed enterprise martech stacks, architected data platforms, and various other odds and ends. I lead strategically, delivering value with thought leadership that aligns technology capabilities to business outcomes. I also staff outstanding teams made up of great people that help me deliver neat stuff.

When spare time and/or a good fare crosses my path, chances are decent I'll take the trip. Having spent more than three contiguous months on an airplane over the course of my lifetime, travel is a major nerdism hobby.
I can also tell the difference between a Airbus 320 and a Boeing 737 at a glance, explain why the airport code for Stockholm is ARN, or why you always get seated near the toilets. Speaking of toilets, I also keep track of all the Waffle House locations I visit around the US when the opportunity arises.
Horrified? A reasonable response. Intrigued? Ask me sometime. Or better yet: meet me somewhere new.
I enjoy making people laugh; if only I were good at it.
Anyone who knows me well (like my wife) will tell you that I'm hilarious as long as you don't mind hearing the same 45 jokes used over and over but in a different order.
To that I say: Not all heros wear capes.
